- I'm 17 and I learned basic and pascal 9 years ago.. Today i do asm/c/c++ on various platforms and i must say, basic and
- pascal were good starting points to learn the ropes of programming without all the worry of direct memory addressing,
- pointers (to the c/c++ complexity), syntax, etc... RAD environments are also something that is paving the way, but at
- the same time I think they could use a bit of tweaking, as I am not too impressed with VB4's executable benchmarks, nor
- delphi's as compared to a VC or BC compiled windows executable, although development time is cut..
